Job description:

The principal responsibilities of the role are:

Ensure all FQM health, safety, environmental, and community engagement standards are implemented and followed by staff, contractors, and visitors.Supervise and execute budgeted exploration programs, in support of the Senior Geologist, with tasks including Geological mapping, Geochemical sampling, Historic data compilation, 3DModelling and Core logging.Demonstrate good geological knowledge of Porphyry Copper, or sediment-hosted copper deposits, and common exploration techniques.Ability to integrate, interpret, and model multidisciplinary datasets, including geology, geochemistry, geophysics, and drilling.Produce comprehensive technical reports, interpretations, and recommendations for FQM projects and third-party commercial opportunities.Mentor, guide, and develop junior geoscientists, technicians, and logistics personnel.Ensuring that:

a) All geoscientific data is stored in the FQM data structure,

b) QA/QC data is interpreted and corrective action taken where necessary.

c) Contractor and consultant assignments are completed to the required timeframe and standards.

Managing relationships with contractor companies and maintaining high work standards.Maintaining professional relationships within the team, and with internal and external stakeholders.Any other tasks that may be assigned by the senior geologist3-6 years' experienceA degree in a geoscience-related disciplineA commitment to upholding high standards of safety, and the ability to influence peers and subordinates.Demonstrable knowledge of Copper Porphyry, or Sediment-hosted copper, mineralised systems and common exploration techniques.Ability to use common GIS, 3d modelling and MS Office software. Proactive attitude and commitment to professional developmentAbility to communicate effectively in English and any locally required language.
