Requirements:

• International staff and experience position;
• Min 7 years in same position with major drilling contractor;
• Higher education (technical or engineering);
• Valid IWCF certificate, Level 4;
• SKA, H2S, firefighting, first aid, incident investigation, permit to work and risk assessment;
• Shall hold DROPS awareness certificate;
• Fluent English language (written & spoken).

Skills:

• Ensures CONTRACTOR (and Subcontractor) personnel understand and observe Client policies, directives and code of conduct on health, safety, environment & security;
• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to HSE policies;
• Evaluate HSE and Operations Performance KPI, goals and objectives are set and reviewed regularly;
• Ensure HSE responsibilities, authorities, accountabilities and competencies are clearly defined, documented, communicated and exercised at all levels within company;
• Recognise and consider individual and team contributions to HSE performance during performance appraisals;
• Approve operating procedures and submit for acceptance;
• Monitor and ensure that corrective actions from audits, inspections and incidents are closed out by the due date.
• Assure the competency of personnel and training requirements are fulfilled;
• Ensure that operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory controls with regards to certification of equipment and environmental protection;
• Ensure that adequate and appropriate PPE is supplied to all workers according to seasonal requirements;
• Support emergency response;
