About the Role

Cardiff University Kazakhstan is seeking a motivated and professional Student Recruitment Specialist to support student recruitment and admissions activities.

The successful candidate will represent the University at recruitment events, engage with prospective students and parents, support applicant communications, and contribute to achieving student enrolment targets.

Key Responsibilities

Student Recruitment

• Represent Cardiff University Kazakhstan at school visits, education fairs, presentations, and recruitment events.
• Provide information about academic programmes, admissions requirements, scholarships, and student life.
• Communicate with prospective students and parents through phone calls, emails, and messaging platforms.
• Follow up with applicants and support them throughout the admissions process.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and applicant interactions.

Events and Outreach

• Assist with the planning and delivery of Open House events and information sessions.
• Conduct campus tours and support visitor registration.
• Participate in recruitment activities across Kazakhstan when required.
• Help prepare promotional materials and event documentation.

Admissions

• Assist with applicant communications and admissions-related enquiries.
• Support the organisation and invigilation of English test
• Ensure testing procedures are followed and documentation is completed accurately.

Administration

• Update and maintain applicant information in university systems.
• Prepare activity reports and recruitment statistics when required.
• Provide general administrative support to the Admissions and Marketing team.

Requirements

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Education, International Relations, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• Confidence in speaking with students, parents, and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

• Experience in student recruitment, admissions, marketing, customer service, or a similar role.
• Experience organising events or outreach activities.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
