Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Associate (legal consultant) role located in Almaty, with the opportunity for occasional remote work. As an Associate, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal advice, and supporting business transactions. You will collaborate closely with clients from various industries, including life sciences, FMCG, retail, and IT/Telecom. Additionally, you will play a role in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and contribute to the firm’s success by delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills in Russian and English language;
• Proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, and reviewing legal documents
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to interpret complex legal issues
• Attention to detail, time management, self-discipline and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team
• Familiarity with industries such as pharma, FMCG, retail, and IT/Telecom is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) in Kazakhstan is required
• Advanced degree in Law (LLM or equivalent) from a prominent foreign university is preferred
• Proficiency in Kazakh language is strongly preferred.
