Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, accurate coding, and timely recording of transactions in the accounting system.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors in accordance with contractual terms and Company policies.
• Communicate and correspond with suppliers regarding payments, documentation, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Operations departments to verify the accuracy of invoices and supporting documents.
• Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly Accounts Payable reports and monitor outstanding liabilities.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with VAT and withholding tax requirements applicable to vendor transactions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to accounts payable activities.
• Contribute to process improvements and strengthening of internal controls within the accounts payable function.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations related to vendor settlements.
• Good understanding of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to accounting, taxation, and document management.
• Experience in processing and reviewing source documents, accounts payable balances, advances, and VAT accounting.
• Knowledge of contract administration, reconciliation statements, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Experience in preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.
• Proficiency in 1C /8.3.
• High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
• Fluent English, Russian, and Kazakh – is an advantage.
