Job Description

ibis Astana is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our hotel operations in Astana, Kazakhstan. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and guest satisfactionLead and inspire a team of department heads and staff to deliver outstanding serviceEnsure compliance with ibis brand standards and local regulationsManage the hotel's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlDevelop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholdersImplement marketing and sales strategies to increase occupancy and revenueOversee all operational aspects, including rooms, food and beverage, and maintenanceAnalyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growthEnsure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the propertyResolve guest complaints and address any operational issues promptly and effectively
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or hospitality management certification preferredMinimum 5-7 years of experience in hotel management, with previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant General ManagerProven track record of successfully managing hotel operations and driving financial performanceStrong knowledge of hotel management software, revenue management, and financial management principlesExcellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team membersOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsStrategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesIn-depth understanding of the hospitality industry and current market trendsFamiliarity with ibis brand standards and proceduresKnowledge of the local market in Astana, KazakhstanFluency in English; knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is a plusAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
