KEY ACTIVITIES
Macroeconomic, trade and transport analysis:
• assist teams with macroeconomic analysis and forecasting of transport projects,
• collect (incl. parsing) and structure initial trade/freight/logistics/macroeconomic data from international databases or provided datasets from external sources,
• analyse macroeconomic data and trends,
• participate in forecasting and modelling of trade and transport flows,
• assess the socio-economic and environmental effects of transport and connectivity projects,
• assist in preparation of the publications on the macroeconomic analysis applied t connectivity and transport.
Internal and external communication:
• participate in meetings with members of the international InfraEconomy Group team,
• follow and help to improve the methodology of macroeconomic studies under the guidance of the InfraEconomy Group's Chief economist.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Proven experience in the field of data analysis,
• good written and oral expression,
• ability to work with big data using tools for analysis and processing of data on advanced level,
• aptitude for interpreting, synthesising and making the most of results, particularly statistical and econometric ones
• upper-intermediate level of English - at least B2 - oral and written,
• general understanding of commodity markets and their peculiarities will be an advantage,
• knowledge of Russian and/or French languages will be an advantage
