We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to be a part of our Supply Chain team located in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Goals for this position:
- Improving the efficiency of the department through systematic process optimization, implementation of automation, standardization of operations, and effective resource management.
- Achieving high operational efficiency, cost reduction, compliance with corporate standards, and ensuring uninterrupted product flow from production to the end customer.
What We Expect:
- Monitor and regulate compliance with standards for the storage, release, and transportation of promotional materials, trade equipment, and finished goods.
- Mentor and support new employees, and oversee their adaptation and training process.
- Ensure compliance with storage rules and conditions for finished goods, promotional materials, and trade equipment.
- Identify needs for mechanized loading equipment, containers, and labor for receiving and moving finished goods, promotional materials, and trade equipment.
- Provide timely reports to management and the head office with key warehouse data and performance indicators.
- Oversee the provision of appropriate equipment, tools, uniforms, and other necessary supplies to warehouse staff for task execution.
- Participate in personnel development initiatives to enhance skills and productivity of the operations team.
- Monitor timely preparation of internal documentation and required reporting for accounting. Ensure proper handling and submission of cash and inventory documents, and compile standard reports.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with job responsibilities, labor discipline, and employee performance standards.
- Participate in the company’s annual asset inventory.
- Ensure labor discipline within the team.
- Perform (substitute) duties of an absent employee as assigned by the Manager.
- Monitor food safety requirements and FSMS (Food Safety Management System).
- Ensure accuracy of warehouse operations (minimizing errors in picking, shipping, and returns).
- Manage special equipment (forklifts, stackers, etc.) and consumption of related materials (stretch film, pallets).
- Work with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and integration with ERP/SAP.
- Implement efficiency improvement projects (automation, new technologies, warehouse layout optimization).
- Optimize warehouse logistics costs (outsourcing, rental, energy consumption, equipment).
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic company initiatives (new warehouses, distribution changes, process digitalization).
- Monitor logistics, fleet, and warehouse expenses to ensure alignment with the annual plan.
- Proactively manage operations to optimize costs in logistics and warehouse processes.
- Ensure a pallet procurement system is in place and monitor that responsible parties in each country follow proper procedures for managing rented and purchased pallets.
- Support standardization projects in line with CCI operational strategies.
Qualifications:
- University/special secondary degree;
- At least 6 years in warehouse management area, experience on managerial positions is preferable;
- Upper-intermediate level English;
- Good command of Microsoft Office programs, working with WMS and ERP systems (e.g. SAP);
- Strong communication and leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, strategic thinking
- Material movement terms in accordance with FEFO, FIFO system.
