Project Manager- Service Centre Expansion
FLSmidth is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the development and expansion of our Service Centres in Uzbekistan and India. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering service centre building projects, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, and effective stakeholder management across all phases.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple service centre building projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to meet project requirements.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee site preparation, construction, installation, and commissioning of service centre infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Identify project risks, manage issues and changes, and maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with operations teams for a seamless handover to service centre operations.
• Foster collaboration and transparent communication across project teams and stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
Pre-Construction Phase:
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Identify and evaluate suitable locations and support acquisition processes.
Work with architects and engineers on service centre layout and infrastructure design.
Develop and manage project budgets, including capital and operating expenditures.
Engage with internal teams, vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Construction Phase:
Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Monitor quality of work, materials, and equipment.
Enforce safety protocols and standards.
Track progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates.
Manage scope, schedule, or budget changes.
Post-Construction Phase:
Conduct commissioning and testing to verify correct installation and functionality.
Ensure smooth handover to operations teams.
Support maintenance and repair planning for ongoing facility functionality.
Document lessons learned for future project improvements.
Key Interactions:
Internal: Regional Facility Manager, Business Managers, Leaders, Employees, Senior Management (Global).
External: Vendors, contractors, government authorities, regulatory bodies.
Key Competencies and Qualifications:
• Dynamic, flexible approach to end-to-end project delivery.
• Strong project management experience in building, infrastructure, or service centre projects.
• Expertise in budgeting, internal controls, vendor management, and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil regulations.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to implement innovative solutions.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to make independent decisions.
• Experience in critical systems environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably in service centre or building construction.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Autodesk).
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Fluency in Russian and English (oral and written).
