Who will you be working with?
The Operations Director for Kazakhstan LKZ plant will oversee all aspects of operations, including production, materials, maintenance, quality, and process engineering, ensuring alignment with global standards. This role involves managing approximately 800 employees and is crucial for sustaining the region's growth trajectory. The Operations Director will play a key role in enhancing customer relationships and driving new business opportunities. Responsibilities include coordinating team efforts to prioritize safety and quality, and improving financial metrics (VCP, VLP, OTD) in line with sales and business growth objectives.

You will be responsible for developing and executing budgets, staffing and hiring plans, and managing capital expenditures. By implementing continuous improvement through Lean approaches and value stream analysis, you will drive productivity and operational efficiency. Your leadership will make a difference by fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring sustainable growth, and enhancing overall business performance.
- Contribute to and lead a One-Wabtec culture centered on operational excellence that enables teams to deliver world class products and services for our customers and achieve long-term sustainable growth.
- Team engagement to drive customer satisfaction throughout the organization while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability, in partnership with other functions in the enterprise.
- Be the face of the organization and promote the company to customers, clients, suppliers, and other external stakeholders
What do we want to know about you?
Bachelor’s technical degree
10 years experience in transportation / railroad industry
Proven progressively responsible managerial experience in multiple business disciplines including operations, supply chain, forecasting, customer management, budget development, life cycle asset management and infrastructure maintenance in a complex transportation related environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of governmental regulations related to the transportation industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, and developing a large diverse staff, with a proven record of effective team building.
Demonstrated experience interacting in a large complex corporate organization.
Demonstrated ability developing strategies to achieve broad business goals and to understand the impact on various stakeholders/constituents.
Superior written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering presentation materials to senior staff.
Demonstrated negotiations and conflict resolution skills.
Strong ability to lead processes, make decisions, and solve problems.
Fluent Kazakh, Russian and English language will be an advantage.
Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan is required
