Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mini Bar Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage Department at Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty. The Mini Bar Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the minibar service in guest rooms, ensuring timely replenishment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product quality, and providing exceptional guest service in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate minibar operations, including staff management, order processing, and delivery to guests.
Organise and monitor daily minibar replenishment, ensuring proper stock levels and product quality.
Maintain sanitary and technical conditions of minibars, liaising with the Technical Department for repairs when necessary.
Manage inventory, product orders, and stock records, coordinating with the hotel warehouse for replenishment.
Ensure accurate billing by communicating consumed items to the Front Office upon guest departure.
Handle guest requests and resolve issues, escalating when necessary to the Restaurant, Bar & In-Room Dining Manager.
Train and develop minibar service staff, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant, Bar & In-Room Dining Manager.
High school diploma or higher education (degree in hospitality preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food & beverage or minibar service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Knowledge of food service production, guest service standards, and inventory management.
Understanding of hygiene, safety, and fire protection regulations.
Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Good command of English (additional languages are an advantage).
Experience with inventory management systems and food and beverage cost control.
Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints effectively.
Valid food handling certification (e.g., HACCP) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
