The position
As the Legal Counsel and Head of Ethics, Compliance, and Quality for the CEM affiliate (Central Asia, Caucasus and Mongolia covering 9 countries), you will hold a leadership role with overall responsibility for setting the direction and overseeing these functions in alignment with the affiliate’s business strategy. Your role will be key in ensuring that the organization is fully prepared to meet current and future business challenges while operating in accordance with the Novo Nordisk Way and strategic direction. Your main responsibilities will include:Manage and oversee all legal affairs for CEM affiliate and selective legal matters that affect the entire company. Manage of department budget and outside counsel, responsible for people development.Perform compliance expertise, risk analysis, assessment, and action. Drive compliance program, communicate with impact. Manage the Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Quality education and training programs in affiliate. Evaluate sustainable and solid quality management system in CEM affiliate, alignment of quality management review processes between sales bad production affiliates. Reply to inquiries and manage governmental inspections, protect license to operate, obtain advice from and manage relationships with external law firmsLobby company interests and external interactions with industry associations and state expert committee on pharma law making activities.Counsel and advice on legal, ethics, compliance, and quality matters in the CIS emerging markets affiliate.QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, you need to hold Bachelor's degree in law and be fluent in English and Russian, Kazakh will be an advantageTo be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:Minimum 5 years of experience as an attorney, legal advisor, or compliance officer or in a similar roleKnowledge of risk management and mitigation strategiesDetail oriented, trusted person with strong can-do attitudeCommercial expertise (contracts, corporate governance etc.) About the departmentLegal, Ethics, Compliance and Quality Department provides legal and compliance guidance, advice and support to management members and departments in the CEM affiliate as well as overseeing the Quality Management System locally.
