Job Summary:

Rolling stock project in Alstom, Kazakhstan, is hiring an experienced AP Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, communicating with vendors, and supporting the month-end close process. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic company that is dedicated to providing industry-leading services in the Transportation sector.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation and 1099 processing
• Participate in the month-end close process and assist with various reconciliations and analyses as needed
• Support the preparation of internal and external audit requests
• Perform other accounting duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to operate ERP system (SAP), Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
