Role Description

As a Fundraiser at NU Impact Foundation, you will be responsible for attracting financial and non-financial resources to support the Foundation’s strategic initiatives and projects.

The role focuses on building and managing relationships with donors, partners, and sponsors, as well as structuring fundraising processes and developing compelling proposals and materials. In addition, the role requires working with large volumes of information, conducting research and analysis, and translating complex data into clear, persuasive narratives for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the Foundation’s programs and initiatives;
• Identify, engage, and manage relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners (corporate, institutional, individual);
• Prepare high-quality fundraising materials (proposals, presentations, reports, donor communications);
• Collect, structure, and analyze large volumes of information to support fundraising activities and decision-making;
• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships (local and international);
• Lead communication with donors throughout the full cycle (outreach, negotiation, reporting, retention);
• Coordinate internally with project teams to package initiatives into clear, fundable propositions;
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of fundraising activities and agreements;
• Support organization of fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement initiatives;
• Monitor and report on fundraising performance and pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, partnerships, business development, or related fields;
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large volumes of information;
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills;
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to structure complex information into clear and compelling materials;
• Experience preparing presentations, reports, and official correspondence;
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
• Experience working with donors, sponsors, or external stakeholders is a strong advantage;
• Experience in education, social impact, or startup ecosystem is a plus;
• Kazakh, Russian, English (Upper-Intermediate+).
