Who will you be working with?
You will work closely with the Plant EHS Manager, plant leadership team, production, engineering, HR, and employees across the LKZ plant. The role also requires interaction with corporate EHS teams, external service providers, and local regulatory authorities to ensure alignment with Wabtec standards and Republic of Kazakhstan requirements.
How will you make a difference?
As a Lead EHS Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring workplace safety, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and the promotion of employee health and well‑being across the plant.
You will support the Plant EHS Manager by driving EHS programs, monitoring performance, conducting risk assessments and audits, managing incidents, and ensuring effective deployment of Wabtec EHS systems and tools. You will also actively contribute to building a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
