This role is for a senior manager (Head of Finance & Strategy) and member of Glovo Kazakhstan Leadership Team, who will lead the Finance team and own strategy that will shape the future of our business in the country and beyond

Lead the Finance Department in Kazakhstan and take decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country and beyondGeneral Manager’s right-hand in all finance & strategic topicManage financial statements, profitability strategy and preparation of forecasts & budgetingBe involved in management financial controls: definition of procedures, the design of budget processes.Prepare & present monthly, quarterly / annual finance reports and analysis (P&L and cost-saving plans)Prepare analysis and justifications of actuals data, forecasts, and deviationsStudy the viability of investments/projects - reports, strategic reorientation, etc.Assess new business opportunities and new vertical developments and changes to drive investments in line with growth & profitability guidelinesIncubate and lead the launch of new projects in the CountrySupport & oversee treasury/accounting, financial policies in line with local and international guidelinesCoordinate preparation and ensure accuracy of necessary Financial StatementsSupervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultantsAd hoc analysis to provide the different managers with information for decision making.Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference.Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
7+ years of experience in Finance and/or Consulting 5+ years in a Leadership RoleBachelor's degree in finance and/or business (MBAs/ACCA/CPA/CIMA Certification would be an advantage)Knowledge of local accounting and tax standards (IFRS)Skills
Business acumenProven track record of understanding and empathising with colleagues’ and partners’ challenges and objectives.Ability to create strategies and deliver value through collaboration.Problem solvingStrong problem-solving skills: hypothesis-driven and data-informed decision-making.Ability to take any problem, perform a deep dive, identify root causes, draft improvement solutions, and communicate them to stakeholders.Stakeholder collaborationExternal: Proven experience working with external partners and governmental authorities to align on strategic initiatives and ensure seamless collaboration.Internal: Skilled at managing stakeholders, working with peers, and leveraging cross-functional teams to achieve what’s best for the company.Team leadership5+ years of experience leading and motivating teams to achieve collective goals.Experienced in building and managing high-performance teams: strong organisational skills, delegation, prioritisation, multitasking, and working effectively under pressure.Presentation & communication skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to summarise and present complex plans to management and key stakeholders.Project managementHighly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage and deliver multiple projects on time.OtherExcellent knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, including Excel.Proficient in Russian/English (spoken and written), Kazak is a plus.Culture
