Who will you be working with?

You will be working with the EMEA Global Services Organization (GSO), collaborating closely with finance teams across the region, operational leaders, service managers, supply chain, tax, accounting, and IT finance partners. You will also interact regularly with CIS regional leadership and global finance counterparts to ensure high-quality financial planning and execution for locomotive parts sales and services operations.

As part of the EMEA GSO Finance team, you will play a key role in driving accurate financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for locomotive parts sales and services across the CIS region.
Your work will directly support business leaders by providing financial insights, conducting variance analysis, and ensuring disciplined execution of financial cycles.
You will support day-to-day operational finance activities, partnering cross-functionally to ensure smooth financial operations, risk management, and compliance.
You will contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and process standardization initiatives that enhance forecasting, reporting, and operational finance efficiency.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance roles (budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, operational finance, statutory finance, tax).
• Understanding of industrial and rail services industries and long-term service contracts.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English
• Practical knowledge of GAAP standards.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to support data‑driven decision‑making.

What will your typical day look like?

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles for P&L and balance sheet.
• Participate in budgeting activities, including data collection, validation of assumptions, and preparation of submissions.
• Perform variance analysis (Budget vs Actuals, Budget vs Forecast, YoY), providing clear explanations and business insights.
• Track financial risks and opportunities and quantify their impact on business performance.

Monthly Closing & Reporting

• Support US GAAP monthly close activities.
• Conduct analytics on P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post manual journal entries as required.
• Assist with order recognition, inventory reserve calculations, and other close tasks.
• Ensure high-quality reporting and timely submissions to HQ.

Operational Finance

• Support day-to-day finance operations including cash planning, payment workflows, and customer invoicing coordination.
• Respond to ad hoc stakeholder and customer requests (reconciliations, confirmations, official letters).
• Support initiation of bank guarantees, performance bonds, and bid bonds.
• Perform account reconciliations and review documentation prepared by accounting teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Assist the Senior Finance Manager EMEA and CFO EMEA with analysis of locomotive parts sales in CIS and other EMEA markets.
• Drive standardization of finance and reporting processes across parts sales operations.
• Conduct quarterly margin analysis of parts agreements.
• Partner with supply chain, operations, sales, tax, accounting, and IT finance to resolve issues and support operations.
• Participate in new order discussions and operational planning.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives across finance workflows.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial standards.
• Identify and help close control gaps.
