Job Description
ibis Astana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Astana, Kazakhstan. As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our hotel and driving financial performance.
Manage all aspects of the hotel's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingDevelop and implement financial strategies to optimize revenue and control costsOversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsAnalyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risksEnsure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standardsCollaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgetsManage cash flow and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutionsSupervise and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and efficiencyImplement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assetsProvide financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and corporate leadershipQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industryStrong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecastingExpert knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsIn-depth understanding of hospitality industry financial practices and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailStrong leadership and team management abilitiesEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesFluency in English; knowledge of Kazakh or Russian is a plus
