Who will you be working with?

At Wabtec, we deliver full turnkey projects from site selection , contract award, design, fabrication, installation, test & commissioning through to end of warranty. We provide subject matter experts to support projects globally that ensure our systems work as per design and specifications and provide maximum return for our end users. Working with a global team , we require a local project manager to manage a multi-phase projects in Kazakhstan from pre award through to project completion.

How will you make a difference?

• Working closely with the Senior Project Manager to assist in overall delivery of KTZ Projects in Kazakhstan
• Assist with local coordination activities between Wabtec US and Wabtec Kazakhstan  (Customs, logistics, planning)
• Co-ordinate workgroups across multiple sites located in Kazakhstan
• Attend KTZ offices regularly based in Astana (Provide status updates on behalf of the Senior PM, attend workshops and technical discussions)
• Attend the work site and provide guidance and support to the TCRM , including site reviews, walkthroughs with KTZ and participate in safety discussions
• Assist the coordination and management of sub-contractors
• Interface with Senior Project Manager to review the project schedule and review project priorities
• Review weekly reports, translate and submit to KTZ on behalf of the Senior PM
• Provide translation services for the Kinetix Team
• Provide project reports, daily progress to Wabtec management
• Escalation to Senior Project Management and Wabtec Engineering
• Provide daily reporting and checklists

• Hands on experience with managing end clients
• Technical qualification in engineering
• Project Management experience and training
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven ability to build strong supplier relationships
• A team player with great interpersonal skills, flexible and proactive in solving problems
• Can problem solve and work with others
• Fluent in both English, Russian and Kazak
