We are looking for Art Assistant Teacher. The ideal candidate for this position is expected to ensure high quality educational support for all students in their care and to improve the quality of learning and standards of achievement. Previous art education and experience are desirable for this role.

Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Offering day-to-day support to Art teachers and pupils in the art department.
Monitoring pupils’ presentation and accuracy of work.
Preparing resources for art lessons; cutting paper, sorting out glue, paint, brushes, palettes, clay, inks etc or any resource needed for the lessons.
Managing the classroom; devise system for stock management and keep them in good working order. Keep the inventory up to date.
Working with staff to prepare lessons ahead of time.
Managing stock and stock rooms, including ordering and checking off orders on arrival.
Assisting the Art teachers with photocopying, project briefs, homework sheets, resources and other tasks in order to support teaching.
Assisting with the mounting of pupils’ work for display and exhibitions.
ICT competent -Use of the internet to collate resources on various artists, genres, cultures.
Kiln and printing press management, this would involve loading up and firing of the kiln as necessary, ensure the preventative maintenance programme is adhered to, so helping to maintain safe working practices. Also noting any needs for repair and keeping records of stock.
Liaise with building, support and IT staff to arrange and organise resources, equipment, and events.
