A mid-size intellectual property firm is looking for an Associate to join its Kazakhstan office.

Responsibilities:

• Verifying the accuracy of work and reporting the same to clients
• Handling enforcement and contentious matters, including administrative and judicial proceedings
• Performing and supervising investigations
• Preparing and filing writs, motions and other legal documents for the courts or local administrations related to infringement and compliance
• Handling oppositions, cancellation, revocation actions, or any other contentious actions before local administrations and courts
• Coordinating with law enforcement bodies on raids, seizures, and other enforcement actions
• Responding to questionnaires and producing legal opinions for various forums and organizations

Requirements:

• Law School University degree
• Excellent and professional command of the English language (both written and verbal)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Associate (experience working in the Intellectual Property field would be an advantage).
• Admission Bar (desirable, but not obligatory)
• Detail oriented
• High sense of responsibility
• Ability to work independently and manage various projects
• Good time management skills and ability to prioritize and utilize resources as available
• Strong computer skills, not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
