AIFC Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Accounting, Tax, and Treasury Department. In this key role, you will support our subsidiaries by maintaining accurate financial records, providing tax accounting support, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. You will also be responsible for the timely recording of financial transactions and delivering comprehensive financial reporting to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain full accounting, financial, and tax records of assigned subsidiaries in compliance with AIFC and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• Record financial transactions in 1C Accounting, including revenue, expenses, assets, payroll, and bank operations.
• Manage invoicing (including VAT), settlements with counterparties, and accountable persons.
• Process and control non-cash payments, monitor bank transactions, and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate payroll calculation and timely tax accruals and payments.
• Monitor compliance of payment documentation with internal policies and ensure accuracy of accounting data, including receivables and payables.
• Maintain tax accounting, prepare VAT data, and support tax declaration processes.
• Prepare and submit financial, tax, and statistical reports to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow activities, including placement of free funds and reporting on cash positions.
• Support external audits and participate in month-end closing (journal entries, accruals).
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting and tax policies and processes.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on accounting and tax matters.
• Perform ad hoc tasks and reports as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• Professional Accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan qualification preferred.
• Certifications in international financial reporting (ACCA, DipIFR) or progress towards obtaining them.

Skills and competencies:

• Strong ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting, tax legislation, and IFRS.
• Understanding of international accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
