Primary objective
Provide piping and mechanical specific design and drafting services to Worley and its customers, and provide technical support and supervision within the engineering team
Responsibilities
Provides design sketches/technical guidance utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge for drawing/model preparation by lower-level Designers or CAD Technicians.Schedules and/or reviews/resolves 3D model interferences/clashes.Checks work assigned to lower-level Designers or CAD Technicians for technical quality, accuracy and compliance with customer, Company and discipline standards.Provides training and mentoring of new CAD Technicians and Designers. Provides input to performance appraisals of lower-level personnel.Plans and conducts field investigation trips to work sites as required.What you will bring
5 to 10 years’ experience in piping and mechanical designSome experience in delivery for FEED, Pre-FEED, Detail Design and Engineering scope projectsRequired Competencies
Trade Apprenticeship, Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma of Engineering Technology in Mechanical/Piping discipline ASET certified is preferredAble to provide project design on small to medium projects from conception through detailed design.Able to prepare basic piping/mechanical engineering drawings. Able to perform detailed, advanced drafting autonomously.Conversant with brownfield engineering principles and ability to incorporate them into design.Understands Hydrocarbon processing and process diagrams (PFD’s/P&ID’s); can incorporate into 3D models. Competent in the use of 2D & 3D software and developing skills in design softwareMoving forward together
