You will join a dedicated team operating in a 24/7 environment, focused on delivering exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting support for Wabtec locomotives worldwide. Our team combines technical expertise with customer-centric service to ensure optimal performance and reliability of global assets.

How will you make a difference?

As a Diagnostics Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing data acquired remotely from global assets and providing expert troubleshooting for locomotives and associated systems. You will support customers and field teams by delivering actionable recommendations, enhancing productivity, and contributing to reliability projects. Your role will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What do we want to know about you?

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
• At least 4 years of experience in design, repair, or troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical systems.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on troubleshooting experience on GE/Wabtec Locomotives (Dash-8/9, AC4400, EVO, or PowerHaul).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in computer usage and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
• First-hand knowledge of railroad operations and maintenance practices.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or other Quality Programs.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan is required

What will your typical day look like?

• Analyze remotely acquired data to troubleshoot locomotives and associated systems.
• Use software tools to review key parameters, fault codes, and incidents; provide detailed troubleshooting recommendations.
• Communicate directly with customers and field teams to ensure proper execution of recommendations and identify additional service opportunities.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance via telephone to customers and field personnel.
• Support reliability projects and feedback loops with Engineering and Service Teams.
• Assist regional teams in Sales, Service, and Quality initiatives for Wabtec products and services.
• Provide support to ADS facility (EVO engine rebuild and small part remanufacturing) and LKZ (locomotive factory) as required.
