Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for Lead Civil/Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities:

• Attends design meetings and communicates effectively with members of Civil/Structural Group and other disciplines to understand design requirements, limitations and optimizations
• Applies Safety in Design Requirements as per client`s company and Kazakh Standards and codes/ Eurocodes
• Performs computer aided and manual calculations for steel and concrete structures as well as concrete foundations
• Prepares Calculation Reports including steel connection design and concrete reinforcement design as per Kazakh codes and standards
• Provides designers with sketches and guides them through detailing of structures
• Checks Material Take-offs (MTO) prepared by designers
• Supervises drafters in completing quality deliverables within time and budget
• Checks design drawings generated by drafters against SNIP/GOST and Client requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

• Technical Degree (Bsc) or Higher in their Chosen Discipline
• Experience of working as a Lead in their discipline for no less that 5 Years
• Ability to provide guidance and direction to project team, managing, motivating and mentoring professional engineering specialists
• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
• Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Experience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documents
• Experience on projects within EPC contract (Engineering, Supply and Construction)
