Andersen is looking for a Frontend Developer (React) to join a global gaming leader on a long-term PC project. The role focuses on building engaging interfaces for a tactical, team-based game enjoyed by millions worldwide.

The customer is a global leader in online game development and publishing with over 20 offices and more than 1,500 employees. Serving an audience of over 200 million players worldwide, the company combines passion, professionalism, and social responsibility to deliver legendary gaming experiences.

The project is a long-running team-based PC game where players engage in tactical combat, controlling historically inspired units and relying on strategy and coordination to achieve victory.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in the migration of UI from a proprietary framework to GameFace.
• Implementing new UI components and refactoring legacy code for modern web standards.
• Collaborating with UI designers and tech leads to ensure high-quality feature delivery.
• Performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance of the front-end codebase.
• Working closely with backend and tooling developers to integrate APIs and services.
• Contributing to the setup and improvement of development tools, build pipelines, and documentation.

Must-haves:

• Experience in front-end web development for 3+ years.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Vanilla JS.
• Strong knowledge of Typescript.
• Commercial experience in React and at least one additional web framework (Vue, Angular, Next).
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (algorithms, computational complexity, and data structures).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of Python, including the ability to read code and write simple scripts.
• Experience in game development as a UI developer or software engineer is highly desirable (a strong advantage for the team, though not mandatory).
• Experience with C++.
• Experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity, etc).
• Knowledge of ActionScript3, Adobe Flash.
• Player experience with competitive games.
