About the role

We’re thrilled to announce an opening for a talented Lead – Procurement and Sourcing to join our team in Almaty, Kazakhstan!

In this pivotal role, you will drive the execution of our procurement strategy, ensuring all purchasing activities align with company policies and standard processes. You’ll oversee the effective use of procurement systems (including SAP) and lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives—from strategy development to implementation.

This position reports directly to the Manager, Supply Chain and offers a dynamic environment for professionals passionate about strategic sourcing and procurement excellence.

What you will be doing

Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to identify and resolve procurement-related issues, escalating when necessary. Stakeholder Communication: Keep internal stakeholders informed of any concerns or developments related to purchases or supplier performance. Procurement Execution: Carry out purchasing activities efficiently and in line with company standards. Relationship Management: Foster strong working relationships across suppliers, customers, and the broader Supply Chain network. Team Support & Mentorship: Provide guidance to Procurement Coordinators and mentor team members to promote continuous improvement and best practices. Process & System Oversight: Ensure accurate maintenance of spend and contract data in SAP and support sourcing strategy development and execution. Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFx activities, and contribute market insights to refine category strategies and enable cross-functional collaboration.

What you will bring

Minimum 5 years experience post professional qualification, including 2 years of direct people management experience; Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream; Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups; Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable; Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships; Financial accumen & budgeting experience.
