In this role you will collaborate with a global cross functional team as a compressed air and ventilation sub-system engineer supporting concept development, detail design, and validation for compressed air and ventilation system used in the rail industry.
Responsiilities:
Selecting compressed air and ventilation system components.
Evaluating and testing system dynamics.
Developing piping layout working with a global cross functional team to integration into a completed locomotive.
Developing and preparing instructions for assembly methods and constraints.
Participating in field test and validation.
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
Engage with suppliers to perform concept and detailed performance analysis.
Support the sourcing function in development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
Provide root cause analysis leadership interfacing with leadership and customer.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in compressed air and ventilation system application and/or component design
Experience with compressed air and ventilation systems on mobile equipment
Experience with compressed air and ventilation system application
Experience selecting and testing compressors, air dryers, filtering, and valving etc.
Experience in ventilation and compressed air piping layout & integration
Experience in writing test plans, executing tests, and interpreting test data
Proficiency in English is essential
Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan is required
