Canadian International School – Astana is seeking a full-time, qualified and passionate English Language Arts & Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic international team. The successful candidate will deliver the British Columbia (Canada) curriculum to students in Grades 10 and/or 11.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach English Language Arts & Humanities following BC curriculum guidelines.
Maintain effective classroom management and student discipline.
Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, clubs, and supervision duties.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student success.
Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism and ethical conduct.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education (preferably from a Canadian university or equivalent).
BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work in an international environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, communication platforms (e.g. Skype), and social media tools.
Familiarity with PowerSchool or similar student information systems is an asset.
