PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage and strategically develop key fast food accounts by ensuring sustainable sales growth, operational excellence, high service level, profitability, and strong cross-functional coordination.
The KAM acts not only as operational support, but as a business owner responsible for client growth, profitability, governance, and long-term partnership development.
Main responsibilities & expected results:
Commercial & Client development
- Develop strategic relationships with key fast food clients
- Identify growth opportunities and proactively drive sales development
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients
- Analyze assortment, pricing,category performance & identify optimization opportunities
- Support new listings, restaurant openings, and expansion projects
Operational & Supply chain steering
- Coordinate daily cooperation between client, stores, Supply Chain, Logistics, FSD, and Operations
- Ensure high product availability and service level
- Monitor stock quality, expiry risks, OOS, non-deliveries and operational issues
- Support forecasting & demand planing alignment and proactive risk escalation
- Ensure proper communication flow during supply shortages or operational incidents
Financial & KPI ownership
- Own & monitor sales, margin, operational costs, and client profitability
- Follow up on payment discipline and outstanding balances
- Support exposure reduction and sustainable business growth
- Ensure alignment between commercial agreements and operational execution
- Drive sustainable and profitable business growth
Cross-functional leadership
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Operations, Quality, OMD, Stores
- Coordinate resolution of complex operational and commercial topics
- Lead business reviews, operational meetings, and client governance routines
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Client experience & Strategic partnership
- Build long-term, trust-based client relationships
- Drive client satisfaction through stability, transparency, proactive ownership
- Balance operational support with strategic account management
- Ensure professional communication during critical situations and escalations
- Represent METRO as a reliable long-term business partner
Experience
✓ 2-4+ years of experience in Key Account Management, FMCG, HoReCa, Supply Chain, Fast Food
✓ Experience managing complex clients and cross-functional stakeholders
✓ Strong commercial negotiation and client development skills
✓ Experience working with KPIs, reporting, and business analytics
✓ Ability to manage operational issues in fast-paced environment
