Reason for opening: Creation of a new sub-department specialising in vertical videos within SMM.

Who will the candidate directly interact with: SMM Lead.
About the Role:
The Video Editor will be responsible for producing high-volume short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other vertical platforms. The main goal of this role is to create engaging, trend-driven videos with a strong hook, pacing, retention, and viral potential. The editor should understand platform-specific content mechanics, current trends, posting formats, and audience behavior. This person will work closely with the content team and help scale content production to ~100 vertical videos per month.
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in a similar role.
Strong skills in editing short-form vertical videos.
Good understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts formats.
Knowledge of short-form content trends, hooks, pacing, and retention mechanics.
Understanding of platform rules, posting logic, and content adaptation by platform.
Good knowledge of Standoff 2 and PUBG MOBILE.
Understanding of the gaming audience, in-game terminology, and content styles relevant to mobile shooters.
Ability to identify trends, references, and viral content formats within the Standoff 2 and PUBG MOBILE communities.
Ability to create native-looking social content rather than traditional ad-style videos.
Ability to work with subtitles, sound effects, dynamic cuts, and trend-based editing styles.
Strong sense of rhythm, storytelling, and viewer attention span.
Ability to deliver a high volume of content consistently.
Understanding of what makes videos perform well and “go viral”.
Ukrainian or Russian — Upper-Intermediate+ / Advanced (for internal communication).
English- Intermediate.
Will be an advantage:
Experience in gaming, entertainment, or youth-focused brands.
Experience working with UGC-style content.
Motion design basics.
Basic script understanding or ability to suggest content improvements.
Experience in analyzing content performance and adjusting editing style based on metrics.
Familiarity with meme culture, internet trends, and Gen Z content language.
Experience using AI tools in video production workflows.

CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects (tool for editing video) TikTok.
Instagram Reels.

AI tools for editing/content ideation as a plus.
Responsibilities:
Edit vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form platforms (2-5 videos daily).
Produce content on a daily basis with a strong focus on speed and quality.
Adapt videos to platform-specific trends, formats, and audience expectations.
Create engaging edits with strong hooks, dynamic pacing, subtitles, and attention-grabbing structure.
Monitor current social media trends and apply them to content production.
Work closely with the team to improve video concepts and increase content performance.
Ensure content feels native to each platform and has strong viral potential.
Maintain consistency in output and help the team achieve monthly content production goals.
