🧰 Job Overview

A Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures as per engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves working with various fabrication tools and machinery to produce high-quality industrial components.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Perform cutting, grinding, bending, and fitting of metal parts
• Carry out welding operations (as required – MIG/TIG/ARC)
• Assemble fabricated components using hand tools and machines
• Operate workshop equipment such as:
  • Lathe machines
  • Drilling machines
  • Plasma / gas cutting machines
  • Plate rolling machines
• Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.)
• Perform repair and maintenance fabrication work (especially for oilfield / industrial equipment)
• Maintain clean and safe working environment (PPE compliance mandatory)
• Follow quality standards and inspection procedures
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers for job execution

🧠 Skills & Requirements

✔️ Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Basic welding knowledge preferred
• Familiarity with industrial workshop tools & machines

✔️ Experience:

• 2–5 years in fabrication / mechanical workshop
• Experience in oil & gas / heavy engineering is a plus

✔️ Education:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent (preferred)
