You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into intuitive, elegant, and accessible user interfaces. As a UX Engineer, you aren’t just designing static screens; you are building the interactive experience, ensuring technical feasibility, and maintaining high standards of usability across our digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Prototyping: Create high-fidelity wireframes, interactive mockups, and prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
User Research: Lead and conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
Front-End Integration: Develop and maintain UI components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript to ensure a seamless handoff to the engineering team.
Accessibility & Standards: Ensure all designs and components comply with WCAG accessibility standards and follow responsive design principles.
Brand Consistency: Act as a guardian of the corporate design system, ensuring all interfaces align with SLB branding and established design languages.
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, UI Designers, and Software Engineers to define user stories and technical requirements.
UCD Advocacy: Champion User-Centered Design (UCD) principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications & Skills:
Design Tools: Mastery of Figma (including auto-layout, components, and prototyping).
Front-End Development: Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript/TypeScript.
UX Research: Proven experience in conducting usability audits and synthesizing user feedback into actionable design improvements.
Visual Communication: Ability to simplify complex data-heavy workflows into clean, intuitive UI.
Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira/Confluence.
Problem Solving: A portfolio that demonstrates not just "how it looks," but "how it works" and why specific design choices were made.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
Understanding of Design Tokens and managing scalable design systems.
Familiarity with the energy or technology sector's specific UI/UX challenges.
