We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Almaty, who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly reports, ensuring compliance with Kazakhstan’s tax and accounting regulations, and coordinating with the Head Office finance team.

The role requires strong knowledge of 1C Accounting, Kazakhstan tax legislation, and financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping in 1C: general ledger, journals, and sub-ledgers.
• Record and reconcile all transactions related to clients, suppliers, and bank accounts.
• Prepare and submit monthly management reports to the Financial Controller.
• Process and control accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper supporting documents and approvals.
• Maintain fixed assets register, depreciation schedules, and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal finance procedures, including KYC, approval workflows, and document retention.
• Monitor cash flow movements, prepare payment requests, and assist in treasury operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in Kazakhstan (preferably in fintech, or service sector).
• Experience using 1C Accounting - is a must)
• Proficiency in Excel and document control systems.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting and tax regulations.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Fluency in English (B2 or higher), with proficiency in Russian and Kazakh being beneficial.
• Experience in Big4 accounting firms is considered a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
