The Web Master/Website Developer will be responsible for the maintenance and optimization of De Montfort University Kazakhstan's website and web applications. The role involves both technical and aesthetic aspects of the website, ensuring it is functional, user-friendly, and aligned with the university's branding guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot the university website and associated web applications.
Content Management: Work closely with the Marketing team to update content, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
UI/UX Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and traffic.
Security: Implement and monitor website security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
Performance Monitoring: Use various tools to monitor website uptime, speed, and functionality. Make necessary improvements for optimal performance.
Data Analysis: Use analytics tools to track website performance metrics and provide reports to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in tandem with IT Services, Marketing, Admissions, and other departments to ensure a cohesive web strategy.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for additional web services, if needed.
Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience in web development and maintenance, preferably in an educational institution.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and CMS platforms like WordPress.
Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization.
Strong SEO and Google Analytics skills.
Familiarity with website security protocols.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
