Dasco Capital is looking for a Compliance Officer /Money-laundering reporting officer

Job Responsibilities:

Preparation of the regular compliance reports for the management and the Board of Directors

Conducting the Compliance Monitoring Plan, Register of the breaches, Conflict of Interest, Gifts and inducement

Running internal training on regulations and compliance practice.

Interaction with AFSA: submission of the regular reports, responding to queries, participating in the reviews, preparation of the response to the regulatory letters and inspection requirements.

Provide the compliance of the requirements on anti money laundering and combating financing terrorism in accordance with AML Rules (AIFC);

Conducting and documenting Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence processes, including the assessment of the source of funds and the level of clients’ risk;

Monitoring of the transactions’ activity, and detecting suspisious operations and direction STR (Suspicious Transaction Reports) in AFIU;

Updating and controlling AML policies and procedures execution: Risk-Based Approach, Internal Reporting, Customer Risk Assessment and others.;

Running regular AML trainings for staff members;

Preparation of Annual AML report and running AML risk assessment

Receiving and processing of the internal notifications on suspicious transactions.

Interaction with AFSA and authorities on AML queries.

Making sure the documentation on CDD, STR and internal reports, training is in place and stored with the requirements of AFSA.

Job qualifications and requirements

Higher degree in Law and International Law and /or Economics

Fluent in English, Upper-Intermediate level

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in AML/CFT or compliance within the financial sector (e.g., banks, investment firms).

Solid knowledge of AIFC Acting Law and regulatory framework.

Proven business reputation, professionalism, and integrity

Confirmed passing of the AIFC Regulatory Framework Test (AFSA Regulatory Framework Test) is mandatory; provision of a certificate (AFSA/AIFC requirement), or willingness to pass

The candidate must not simultaneously serve as a Compliance Officer or MLRO in more than two other financial institutions approved by the AFSA (AFSA/AIFC requirement);

The candidate must be willing to undergo the AFSA approval process (interview) to become an Approved Individual (AI) for the positions of Compliance Officer and MLRO (AFSA/AIFC requirement); The candidate must have experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or regulatory oversight, preferably within the AIFC jurisdiction or a comparable international environment;

Experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or regulatory control; preferably within the AIFC jurisdiction or a comparable international environment;

The MLRO candidate must be a resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan (AFSA/AIFC requirement);
