Kazakhstan International School (KIS) is searching for Operations Manager:
We would like to recruit a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Operations Manager for our expanding school.
The Operations Manager is to oversee high-level operations processes within the school, continuously improving organizational processes, its quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Operations Manager reports to:
1. Head of School
Operations Manager collaborates with:
1. Senior Leadership Team
2. School Support team
3. Maintenance team
4. Teachers
5. Parents & Teachers Association
Areas of responsibility:
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team in planning sessions, regularly attend meetings and contribute from the Operations side
- Coordinate the operations of the school effectively by running planned regular meetings with different teams - Procurement and Facilities, Maintenance, Security, Cleaning, Catering, Receptionists, Nurses.
- Work with Parents & Teachers Association to improve operations in all areas above
- Ensure compliance with Kazakh statutory requirements ie - anti-terrorism, first aid, health and safety and child protection.
- Perform any duties assigned by the Head of School - parking lot duty
- Oversee the daily operations of the school
- Participate in the Health and Safety Committee of the school
- Ensure that the Health and Safety regulations and procedures of the school are being followed.
- Review and update any operations procedures if necessary
- Emergency drills - plan the dates with SLT, run training sessions for all staff and execute whole school drills twice a year (Fire drills must each be held twice a year - one announced and unannounced).
- Support all school events - by coordinating different Operations teams (receptionists, security, catering, cleaning, procurement & Facilities, school offices, PAs) to ensure all stakeholders are informed and instructed on their duties, be present on the days of the events to oversee its implementation
- Coordinate and support the operations of the School nurses
- Coordinate and support the Main School Receptionist with any organizational procedures
- Plan and oversee the execution of any maintenance, facilities improvements that need to be done over the school breaks (approved by the Head of School well in advance).
- Manage and plan the annual leave dates of the Operations team to ensure the continuous operation of the school throughout the year and all team members are present in August to support Senior Leadership Team with preparations for the opening of the new academic year
- Promote school’s culture and support the Operations team to communicate well, perform effectively with high morale
- Support the Head of School and Finance Manager with budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Manage the inventory manager
Qualifications and skills required:
- Higher Education in any of the following - Management, Project Management, Finance,
- Highly Communicative, organized and responsible behavior
- Strong computer and Microsoft office software skills
- Upper-Intermediate English language proficiency
- Negotiation skills
- Effective business correspondence skills
- Experience in making schedules and hitting deadlines
