Job Description
The Senior manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:
- execution of the accounting of fixed assets and intangible assets of the University; ensuring the accounting of the movement of inventory items;
- calculates taxes on time for the area of responsibility;
- acceptance, verification and, if necessary, registration of primary documents in the area of responsibility, ensuring their safety and preparation for archiving;
- participation in a process of preparation of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
- participation in the development of methodological and regulatory internal documents in the supervised direction;
- timely provides tax, statistical and other reports on the area of responsibility;
- organization of conduction and participation in the inventory of assets or of accounts receivable and payable in the area of responsibility in the prescribed manner;
- ensuring the interaction with government bodies on issues related to accounting and reporting data;
- automation and optimization of the processes within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers;
- consideration and, if necessary, amending the contracts, transactions and internal documents of the University within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers;
- participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the framework of the supervised direction;
- temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the another Senior manager during his/her temporary absence (up to one month);
- timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;
- observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;
- is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
- is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;
- in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).
Qualifications
Higher-professional education, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction, not less than a master's degree
Priority areas of specialties:
- Accounting and audit
- Finance
- Economy
Minimum five years work experience.
A minimum of three years with a master's degree in a related field.
Additional Information
Knowledge
- knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (hereinafter - IFRS) and tax reporting forms;
- knowledge of 1C, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;
- fluency in English, Kazakh, Russian
- tax programs of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Skills
- good understanding of Information Technology (hereinafter - IT) in the field of accounting;
- the skill of clarifying the norms of policies and rules in one area of activity or functional area;
- the skill of using information from several sources to inform the line manager of trends and recommend changes to policies or regulations
Other requirements
- availability of a certificate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) DipIFR /ACCA/CPA;
- availability of a certificate of professional accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK);
